Well yesterday was fun. We went to the Far East Plaza in Orchard first, and from there to the Singapora Plaza: where we'd met some of my sister's friends, and went to eat at the TCC. Once again, ordered pasta. :P
If you could connect with 5 or more people in a WeChat group - who would they be, and why? What would you talk about? The people can be dead, alive or even fictional.
I still remember the time when I was a kid. International calls to relatives was a very well-thought out and planned affair. When my sister left to pursue her PhD in Singapore, I remember having to get myself calling cards in order to just make calls to her. But now thanks to WeChat, it is possible to send her voice messages, pictures and texts (obviously) in an instant. Long live, technology!
Having said that, if I could connect with five or more people in a WeChat group, my choices would be as random and as diverse as they come.
1) I would love to have Mr. Ruskin Bondas one of the people on my list. I've admired that man since I was barely twelve years old. Rusty, in fact, had been my first crush in school. Ruskin Bond has undoubtedly been my all time favorite writer in the world. The vivid descriptions have always …
I wrote this poem last year, because I never thought I wouldn't be sending it to the person it really is for. I know I didn't wish you this year...well, not to your face. But well, I kept thinking of you throughout your special day. Happy Birthday, anyway.
I know you don't really Look forward to this day, and, Over the year, I realize there's nothing Very special about it either. Everyone calling, posting and wishing You. And you smile through it, say, "Thank you". Once, twice, thrice....I have stopped counting now. Underneath the stars, where I know we'd once lay... Arms around my shoulder, and head resting peacefully, Rolling around, laughing, and simply enjoying life. Going the distance, if need ever be, and then I'd say, softly, Happy Birthday. To the most amazing person I've come across. On your special day...may all your wishes come true.[ Figure out this poem, too!!]
I might be known as
the person who constantly thinks about people about leaving. As the person who
believes everything in life being temporary – after all, aren’t we all waiting
for the next best thing? In a world where the only constant is change, how do
you find your people? How do you find your tribe? How do you find the people
who vibe well with you? Who not only put up with but celebrate your crazy?
Figure out ways to keep your crazy in control? How do you find your true soul
mates in this world of 7.5 billion people? Honestly, there is no
easy answer for this. The one easy thing about this rather complicated question
is that soul mate does not necessarily have to be your boyfriend/girlfriend,
husband/wife. As one of my constants recently pointed out to me, soul mates can
be your best friends too. Friends you share completely platonic relationships
with. I got lucky that I
found my tribe in college. Literally on the first day of college, I met my
mother’s namesake. Our friendship…
